2016 in Rear-view

It seem like I’ve spent a lot of time in the car these last few months. Trips to Texas and Canada for training. Trips home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And a few vacation trips as well. As January 11 quickly approaches, I’ve spent the last few weeks looking back over my season in Colorado. As I’ve been saying good-bye to the people and places I have come to love, I realize how much I will miss being able to build deeper into those friendships. I came to Colorado knowing it would only be a short stay, and while 5 months has turned into 3 years, I’m glad that I didn’t hold back on investing into where I was.

I have a home Church who is happy to see me off, a small group who I know will be praying for me, and many friends who have become more like family. So, while it seems daunting at times, I have hope for the new friendships to come. I look forward to the Cambodians I will be meeting. Even now, I invite you to join me in prayer for these new friendships. And pray that I wouldn’t hold back knowing that a good-bye is somewhere down the road.
