3/10/17 – Love Again

Got to spend the evening on the river with some Cambodian brothers and sisters from the C&MA church I’ve been attending. This group has been so welcoming. The testimonies I hear from these young people blow me away. Persecution from family who aren’t Christian, the struggle to be a light in a secular dorm, to the business and stress of young adult years, I am humbled by this reminder that God is good and He goes before us.

We live in a new era. Social media is connecting people in new ways and the world seems to be getting smaller. And yet: “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” 1 Cor. 13:1-3
