I saw a sign out the other day, “broken English spoken perfect.” Like anything worth learning, speaking Khmer will take a lot of focus and determination. My few weeks in class have taught me how much I don’t know. My desire to know ALL the words is strong, but then I remember that even my English isn’t perfect so why should my Khmer. So from now on my motto is, “broken Khmer, spoken perfect.”
