2/21/17 – Art
There is a small but growing art community in Phnom Penh and Cambodia. Here is just a small example of some public art I found after lunch today.
2/20/17 – Friends
This is an amazing group of young christians. We were invited to the discipleship class run by some fellow C&MA workers. I’m excited to get to know them better.
2/18/17 – Ooooober
Every time I return to Cambodia, I am surprised by the speed of the development in this country. Though gentle in nature, there is a sense that the people here are racing to catch up with the rest of the world. This is just one of several “uber-like” apps available that is new in the…
2/16/17 – To Go
Got this guy on my way home from school today. As a to-go container, it was a bit heavy, but I was glad for the handles.

2/11/17 – Moto Vendors of Phnom Penh
Here’s another one, because I like how unique each one is. I feel like Phnom Penh has a very entrepreneurial spirit. However, for better or worse, this mean everyone is selling something.

January Update – I’m Here
I still remember the strange sense of vertigo as I landed in Phnom Penh at 12pm. I navigated my way through immigration and out to a waiting teammate who brought me to the flat I had rented. We carted up my luggage to the 5th floor and I sat down on my bed, in the…
1/17/17 – To the Market
Phnom Penh has many markets, each with its own flavor. Here’s a glimpse of the Russian market. Though Cambodia has more western style stores, you could call this the Khmer Walmart. Here I could pick up anything from dried fruit to auto parts to some new cloths.
1/16/17 – Around Town
Getting to know the city has been fun. I’ve been choosing to walk most places to get to know the streets better, but a tuktuk is never far away. There’s not a lot of pedestrians here though; I see a motor bike in my future soon!
