Do what you love

Just as soon as I get settled in, life moves forward. The good news is that I have completed my full-time language learning objective and I am now focusing more on my roles in the office. The bad news is that more transition is ahead of me. Moving from language school and homework, back to full-time office life is just one of the transitions happening right now. Language learning will always be on my to-do list while I live here, but with all of the hats I’m wearing at the office, I’m feeling a bit stretched. I love all of the pieces of office start-up I get to be a part of, but I could use prayer on keeping focused and productive as I manage publications, our intern program, and finishing up office set-up.

I love that the office is getting back into our project cycle, and personally picking up my role as photographer and publications. A couple of our current projects are construction management for a school in a slum community and providing concept planning for a Bible school in Vietnam.

One of our first local interns on a project trip in Vietnam.

In our intern program, we have now accepted our first two local interns, Reatrey and Lydeth. Both are still studying in University here in Phnom Penh, but are super excited to be able to use their skills at a Christian company.

Office set-up continues. It’s beginning to look more and more like a functional office every day. Here are the installers putting up our planning calendar/white board.
