June Update

Only 6 more months to go before I board an airplane headed for Phnom Penh. While I contemplate the idea of finishing my time here in Colorado Springs well, I have begun focusing my time on the relationships and community I have built here over the last two years.

School Out-reach and VBS
Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to join my church in out-reach to local schools. In May, just before the school year ended, my church held an after-school art and science camp one day a week. At the end of the month we invited one of our EMI staff to come share the gospel message via a magic show.

In June, I helped with VBS. At our “International Spy Academy” we taught about discerning counterfeit gods from the One True God! We also had a lot of fun!

EMI Family
I never cease to be amazed that I get to go to work every day with such amazing people. There is not a person in our office I wouldn’t count as a friend. In June, two of our southern staff hosted a good old fashioned crawfish boil.

My Family
My parents, my best friend, and I headed out to California for our yearly trek to hear good music and to see the every beautiful Pacific ocean. While communities come and go, it’s a blessing from the Lord to have family who sticks close even when the distance apart become wide.
