Rest & Creativity

This June I was able to take some time away from the busyness of Phnom Penh. I took two weeks to visit my parents in the US, and also took some time to retreat to the neighboring province of Kampot. It was a refreshing time to get out of the concrete jungle and enjoy the freshness of God’s creation, before jumping back into our cycle of projects and interns.

During the summer months, we had the privilege of hosting two amazing female engineers, Julie and Sarah, as well as our continuing Khmer architectural intern, Menea. There were here for only two months, but they added a lot of joy and laughter to our office. Above: Putting the final touches on one of our bigger construction management projects, the team went out to layout some parking-lot striping.  Meanwhile, several more projects are just beginning the construction phase. I have enjoyed following our different projects, taking pictures to help promote our work here in Cambodia.
